The people of Nazareth were so familiar with Jesus that they were blinded to the supernatural and took offense to him. (Matthew 13:53-58)
As Christians we too can be so familiar with the things of God that we cab find them boring unappealing and irrelevant. Often we try to solve our boredom with impassiveness. But instead we need to re-engage with God through introspection. Perhaps we have outgrown the familiar and need to push deeper into our faith.
