Who are you when nobody is looking?

Description

Romans 7:1-25
How do we change?
Once we were married to the law but now belong to Christ and the law no longer has authority over us.
– The Law is like a greenhouse – it arouses sin (Romans 7:5)
– The Law is like an MRI Machine – it exposes our sinfulness (Romans 7:13)
– The Law is like a pointing finger – it accuses us (Romans 7:14)

So how do we now relate to the law as those released from the law?

We struggle! – Struggle is the evidence of new wife. As we struggle with the law we need to deepen our cry to God:
What a wretched man I am! Who will rescue me from this body that is subject to death? Thanks be to God who delivers me through Jesus Christ our Lord!Romans 7:24-25
