Message by Pastor Richard van Lieshout on the Essential of the Scripture for every Christian

(1 Corinthians 2:6-10)
(John 6:68-69)
(1 Peter 1:10-12)
(Psalm 19:7-8)
(Matthew 19:3-6)
(Psalm 1:1-3)
(Romans 15:4)

The Scriptures manifest themselves to be the Word of God:
by their majesty
and purity;
by the consent of all the parts, and the scope of the whole, which is to give all glory to God;
by their light and power to convince and convert sinners, to comfort and build up believers unto salvation:
but the Spirit of God bearing witness by and with the Scriptures in the heart of man, is alone able fully to persuade it that they are the very Word of God.

Description

Without the death and resurrection of Jesus there is no gospel, there is no salvation and forgiveness of sin, there is no redemption for man outside of Christ. Ryan helps us to remember that the implication of that one event changed the trajectory of mankind in such a drastic way that as Christian’s every waking moment is in fact a glorifying and celebratory echo of the Easter event.
