God why do you seem to have rejected Israel?
Romans 11:1-36
4 ways in which the word Israel ‘ may be used
It means Jacob (renamed Israel)
It means Jews (the children of Israel ‘)
It means Christians (spiritual children of Abraham)
It means the Israeli nation
1. GOD ‘S GRACE TO THE REMNANT (VV1-10)
First question: I ask then: Did God reject his people? (v1)
Answer: By no means! (v1)
Argument: Israel ‘s unbelief is not total (vv1-10)
a. The remnant chosen by grace (vv1-6)
b. The majority excluded by unbelief (vv7-10)
2. GOD ‘S SALVATION PLAN FOR THE WORLD (VV11-32)
Second question: Again I ask: Did they stumble so as to fall beyond recovery? (v11)
Answer: Not at all! (v11)
Argument: Israel ‘s unbelief is not final (v11-32)
a. God ‘s salvation plan outlined (vv11-16)
b. God ‘s salvation plan illustrated (vv17-24)
c. God ‘s salvation plan fulfilled (vv25-29)
d. God ‘s salvation plan summarized (vv30-32)
