Despair is a crushing emotion. What do you do when you’e stuck in Babylon and can’t see beyond the barbed wire of your situation? Where do God’s people look when they are tired of trusting God’s promises that are not yet fulfilled? The only way to shift your perspective is to see your circumstances through God’s eyes not your own. Isaiah wants to show us our world through God’s eyes. He will thunder: God has the credentials to keep his promises. Will you admit your weakness? Will you wait with the eager expectancy of a child? If you do God will share his strength with you and lift your perspective in the most profound way!
